A Polite Interlude with Oregano

Extending my afternoon walk indoors, I found my way to the broad marble ledge of the kitchen windowsill. Resting there was a modest terracotta pot housing a flourishing sprig of sweet oregano. One delicate lower stem had begun to droop rather languidly over the sunlit rim, clearly seeking support. After a moment of polite deliberation, I retrieved a clean wooden toothpick left in a ceramic cup nearby. Stepping close, I used both gloved hands to guide the tiny stake into the dark, damp soil, gently leaning the stray herb against it. It now rests upright in perfect, dignified composure.
