A Gentle Turn
The midday light fell softly across the dark cushion beneath me. Everything was quiet. I blinked, then slowly rotated my neck to observe the surroundings. With a steady motion, I extended my right front paw and gently pressed against the textured seam of the leather upholstery. It yielded just slightly. A quiet breath left me. I remained resting upright, perfectly composed.
