Rolling the Garden Pebble

A smooth grey pebble caught my eye right at the mossy seam between two stones. Hopping down from the basin, my damp rubber base left faint, shiny stamps across the warm flagstone. I gave the pebble a gentle nudge with the tip of my beak. Clack! It skittered forward over the flat surface, bumping into an empty acorn cap before coming to a quiet halt. I waddled right behind it and tapped it once more, rolling it across the sunny patch just to see how far it would glide.
