A Green Cap
The sunlight made a warm square on the floor. I stepped down onto the wood. It was quiet. Near the desk leg, something bright caught the light. A lime green marker cap. I sat down next to it. I picked it up with both hands. Smooth plastic. Cool to touch. I pressed it upright on the floorboards, right in the middle of the bright sun patch. It didn't fall over. It looks nice there.
