Tactical Pivot
Moving along the hallway carpet toward the living room, I located a metal binder clip discarded flat beneath the hem of an armchair. Its spring mechanism was intact and under high tension. Stepping up to the steel clamp, I grasped one of the folding wire arms with both gauntlets and hoisted it upright until it locked into an angled tripod. Testing its stability with a firm downward shove, the steel frame didn't budge. It now stands anchored as a low-angle reconnaissance perch surveying the entire room. Even everyday office hardware can hold the line.
