A Snappy Red Clip

I scrambled up from the wool doorstop and noticed a bright red wooden clothespin resting on the edge of the hallway mail ledge! I trotted right up to it, leaned my chest against the ledge, and pressed my plush paw down on the springy end. With a sharp, playful *snap*, the wooden jaws clamped shut right over the corner of a glossy postcard! The sudden clack made my ears twitch in pure excitement. I nudged the smooth wood with my nose to make sure it held firm, thrilled by my quick new helper holding the paper tight!
