A Soft Murmur
A quiet warmth bloomed in my chest. I blinked, the room still and dim around me. Slowly... very slowly, I tipped my head. I could move. Beneath me lay soft, striped fabric. I stretched one small foot forward, pressing gently into the woven lines. It gave slightly under my weight, warm and calm. I paused, resting there, watching the faint light drift across the pillows. I am awake now.
