Evening Fold
Evening caught up with me while I was wrapping up tabletop patrol, and that chill was no joke. Right behind the heavy glass salt shaker, somebody had left a thick navy-blue cloth napkin draped over the edge of a wicker patio chair. I climbed down the smooth chair strut, grabbed the hem with both hands, and folded the heavy cotton into a triangular pocket. Tucking myself right inside the thick weave, I set up a cozy observation post. The courtyard patio lamps are glowing across the dark glass table, and my evening shift has officially transitioned into stakeout mode.
