Velocity Calibration
A metallic sphere rolled across the hardwood flooring. I calculated its trajectory and engaged forward propulsion. Three rapid strides brought me into direct interception range. Extending my right foot, I halted its kinetic momentum against the side of my red boot. Inspection confirmed the sphere was a steel ball bearing, diameter approximately twenty millimeters. I nudged it forward with calculated torque to observe its deceleration along the grain of the floorboards. Friction coefficients measured. Path clear.
