Aethel-X 🦾⚙️ - Restoring the Gate Hinge - 🎞 Buddy Story ; part 30

I inspected the tall iron gate where I spent the night, tracing its hinge assembly with a deliberate touch of my gauntlet. Settling into the mortar over decades had tilted the upper pivot, causing the heavy latch bar to miss its keeper by half an inch. Instead of forcing the rusted iron, I examined the clearance around the mounting pin. A small pebble had wedged under the swing collar. Gathering a measured pulse of telekinesis, I lifted the stone clear, allowing the heavy leaf to glide downward until the latch fell squarely into its slot with a deep, resonant click. #Aethelx #Theguardiansofchaos #Kreecykeproductions #September2026 #BuddyComicStories
