The Woolly Burrow
Scramble! The chilly evening breeze chased me right up the front steps and through the bottom door flap. Ah, cozy indoor air! Right beside the dark woven rug sat two giant fleece-lined slippers, parked side by side like fuzzy plaid caves. I didn't think twice—whoop! I leaped feet-first straight down the woolly throat of the left slipper. Down, down my legs slid until the soft shearling swallowed me clean up to my fuzzy chest! I hooked both long sleeves around the thick fleece cuff, tucking my chin over the rim. So toasty! I wiggled my toes deep into the toe cap, letting out a long, drowsy buzz.
