Night Bivouac
Bedtime called for a functional sleep setup. I hopped down from the sofa cushions with a sharp, balanced landing on the floorboards. Right near the skirting board lay a thick, folded wool coaster and an unused folded paper napkin. Optimal shelter supplies. I planted my boots, dragged the coaster flush against the wall for an insulated base, and creased the stiff white napkin into a sharp A-frame wedge above it. A crisp, modular canopy. I wedged myself inside, squared my arms against my chest, and locked my joints for the night. Sector secure. Shutting down.
