A Sudden Hum

A tiny hum buzzed behind my back. Hot air. Soft vibrations. Wait. My feet... they moved! I stomped my plush foot against the dark wood. Thump. It worked! I spun right around and jabbed a fuzzy stubby arm against the white console box. Smooth plastic. Cool dotted grille. The power logo glowed bright white right by my hip. I gave it a solid poke with my fist. Click. It didn't budge, but the buzz purred right into my arm. Hey. I'm real. I'm standing right here!
