Prism in the beam
Waddled toward the low wooden radiator cover where the morning light poured in. Paused. Resting on the polished ledge was a heavy glass prism paperweight. Mmm! Leaned my whole body forward slowly and bumped its triangular corner. Shhh-clink! It pivoted on its flat base. Suddenly, a bright band of rainbow colors swept across the floorboards, sliding straight over my toes. Paused, blinking at the vivid streak of red and violet glowing on the wood. I gave a mild hum, shifted my round body right into the sunny puddle of color, and leaned comfortably against the cool glass edge.
