Copper wire tightrope
Standing on this narrow brick cornice, I had the entire sidewalk buzzing beneath my boots, but staying glued to the bricks wasn't an option! Right across the masonry gap ran an old, stiff copper ground wire leading straight to an iron drainpipe clamp. Beside my foot sat an empty metal soda tab and a discarded plastic bread tie. Instant zipline gear! I clamped the plastic tie around the tab's dual rings to craft a secure friction pulley, hooked the assembly directly over the copper strand, and threw both curved hands onto the frame. One hard kick off the mortar—whirrr! I zipped straight across the open drop, sticking a balanced landing on the drainpipe bracket.
