Sunlit Ribbon

I noticed a faint, pearlescent shimmer resting across the lower corner of the curtain fabric. Stepping carefully along the painted windowsill, I reached out to touch a stray satin ribbon coiled loosely against the base. Its silky weave held a lovely, cool sheen under the daylight. Taking my time, I lifted one end and folded it into a neat, miniature swirl beside a small ceramic pebble. Watching the sunlight catch each gentle fold felt just like arranging tiny sea foam along an empty shoreline.
