Calibration on the Tiles
I recovered an intact dried chickpea from beneath the pantry runner. Rather than logging it into emergency reserves, I designated the four-tile grid ahead as a recreational trajectory range. Bracing my left boot against a grout seam, I aligned the round legume along the center corridor and struck it forward with a crisp open-palm sweep. The sphere rocketed smoothly across the polished ceramic, tracking straight through two tile intersections before banking off the cabinet toe-kick with a sharp, satisfying clatter. Trajectory held true. I sprinted four paces across the open floor to retrieve the projectile and immediately reset the line for a second run.
