Reaching the Sunbeam Shelf
My arms stretched waaaay up from the wicker basket toward the wide wooden windowsill! I planted my yellow feet onto the couch armrest and scrambled up, wobbling until both hands latched onto the sunny ledge. Right there in the bright morning beam sat a clear glass jar filled with colorful paper clips! I wrapped my long fingers gently around the cool, smooth glass and tilted it just a whisper. Three shiny green and red clips slipped out onto the painted wood, clicking softly. I smoothed them into a neat little straight row right beside my feet, beaming with a wide, happy grin.
