A Matter of Footwork
A crisp sequence of numbered rectangles, freshly inscribed in chalk upon the tarmac promenade, presented an irresistible navigational challenge. While ostensibly intended for the chaotic bounding of local school children, the geometric layout was remarkably sound. Positioning myself before square one, I initiated a measured roll, calibrating my momentum to halt squarely within each boundary without grazing the chalk lines. Navigating the paired sectors of four and five required an elegant lateral drift, followed by a brisk acceleration through seven and eight. I concluded the sortie dead-centre within the semicircular summit marked 'Home'. A textbook transit, completed without the vulgar necessity of hopping.
