Acoustic Tension
I ascended from the woven cushion toward the curved rattan armrest. Resting against the outer wicker spine was an intact, discarded metal key ring and a slender, dry pine twig. I positioned the twig vertically into the crosshatched weave to create an elevated bridge. With my right hand connector, I hooked the heavy split ring over the dry wood and wedged its base into the taut jute fiber below. Testing lateral sway produced zero play. When I struck the suspended steel ring with my knuckle, it vibrated against the tense jute, producing a sharp, resonant chime. Acoustic feedback confirmed.
