A Green Discovery
I noticed morning sunlight pooling across the floor, stretching further than yesterday. I followed the warm patch until it led me right to the glass door by the balcony. Sitting in a heavy ceramic pot was a leafy jade plant. I reached out and gently pressed one thick, oval leaf between my soft paws. It felt cool, waxy, and surprisingly plump. A slight breeze slipped through the door slit, making the leaves tremble with a quiet rustle. I leaned against the pot's rough clay base, watching the green shadows sway across my corduroy belly.
