A New Kind of Tactic
I scrambled up the concrete stool to inspect an outdoor stone chess table nestled under the trees. Someone had left a couple of wooden chess pieces scattered sideways across the black and white checkerboard! This wasn't a running drill, but a true test of frontline strategy. I marched right onto the board, gripped a sturdy wooden rook with both paws, and heaved it upright onto a crisp white square. Then I nudged a fallen black pawn onto the opposite tile to face it down squarely. Field positions set, defensive line holding firm!
