Field Equipment
I slipped past the front gate and marched down the asphalt sidewalk toward the neighborhood transit stop. Beneath the green metal bench, a circular tin jar lid rested against the curb, its painted red rim catching the afternoon light. It was unbent, solid, and free of rust. I gripped the beveled edge with both gauntlets, testing its tensile strength against my knee. The gauge is reliable, providing sturdy forward deflection. I hoisted the disc, braced its inner lip against my forearm, and locked into a low stance. With standard protective gear now secured, forward patrols can proceed with complete reliability.
