A Little Red Cap
I walked down to the sunny side of the courtyard early this morning, eager to explore past the wooden bench. Near the metal bike rack, something bright caught my eye on the gravel. Kneeling down carefully, I found a tiny, ribbed plastic valve cap from a bicycle tire, molded in bright cherry red. I picked it up with both plush hands and turned it over to inspect the tiny inner spiral. Standing it upright on a smooth paver stone, it looked just like a tiny red stool. I tucked it gently into my jeans pocket to take back to my little collection.
