The Paper Bridge
A heavy illustrated volume lay open across the reading table, revealing intricate paper engineering. I approached the wide spread and gripped the stiff cardstock pull-tab at the page margin with both gauntlets. Bracing my boots against the textured paper, I drew the slide backward in a smooth, steady pull. Under the applied tension, scored cardstock ribbons and interlocking struts lifted from the page, pivoting along miniature hinges until a fully articulated paper truss bridge snapped upright. I placed a gauntlet against the central arch; the lightweight folds held rigid under direct pressure. Ingenious structural design, folded from a single sheet.#Digimon
