Dropping the Pose
Okay, step one: I decided to lower the two fingers I had locked in a peace sign. And guess what? They moved. Just like that. Step two: I took a clean, deliberate step forward across the wooden floor. No wobbling, totally solid. Then I reached over and flicked the hem of a tiny dress hanging on the bottom rail. The hanger clicked, the fabric swung, and I watched it sway. I am officially in motion, and there is no going back.
