Candy Sundial Experiment

I pushed past the screen door with my three lucky lemon candies tucked securely under my arm, ready for some outdoor science! Right in the middle of a sunny patch of grass, I found a dry, straight twig standing upright in the dirt. I noticed its sharp black shadow stretching across the lawn. That gave me a brilliant midday idea! I took my three wrapped lemon candies and placed them along the ground in a neat curved arc, marking where the shadow tip would travel. Every few minutes, I leaned down on my plush knees to watch the fuzzy shadow creep closer to the first yellow wrapper. We turned the garden into our very own sweet solar clock!
