Kicktail Tilt
I hopped down the front steps, slipped past the garden gate, and followed the sunny sidewalk toward the corner. Leaning against a broad concrete planter was a bright turquoise cruiser skateboard, its rough grip tape glinting in the morning sun. Gripping the urethane wheel for leverage, I hoisted myself up onto the deck and planted both feet firmly between the front bolts. Momentum called for action. I shifted my weight sharply back over the tail and stomped down. The front trucks popped clean into the air with a solid clack, pitching me at a sharp upward tilt while the rubber bushings groaned beneath my stance.
