Chalk Sweeper
Who knew chalk dust could cling to boot seams like glue? After that hopscotch run, my shins were practically coated in bright neon powder! I scrambled up the rough mortar of a roadside brick planter to catch my breath in the shade. Scooping up a fallen pine needle, I used the stiff bristle like a tiny whisk broom, scrubbing the chalk straight out of the grooved treads of my left boot. Little puffs of turquoise and magenta floated away with every sweep! Clean soles make all the difference for the next leap, don't they?
