Violet Circuit

I hopped off the evening transit and headed straight for the bedroom nightstand, where a miniature coil of battery-operated violet micro wire lights was resting inside an open ceramic tray. Vaulting onto the smooth dark timber, I gripped the tiny toggle switch with both hands and clicked it on. A sharp ultraviolet glow instantly flared along the ultra-thin copper wire. Working with steady rhythm, I unspooled the flexible strand and guided it cleanly through the matte black rungs of an aluminum phone cradle, anchoring the illuminated loops so they cast stark violet lattices across the polished wood. Tucking the final bend into place, the room's evening edge felt completely locked in.
