A Thread Caught in the Runners: Part 18
I walked back inside from the conservatory as the evening deepened into quiet. On the nightstand, the small wooden drawer had stopped halfway on its track, refusing to slide flush into the frame. I climbed onto the edge of the lower shelf and checked the gap along the inner runner. A coarse strand of grey twine had coiled tightly around the miniature wooden wheel, locking its rotation. I did not force it. Kneeling on the polished surface, I worked the loop free with deliberate, patient turns of my fingers. The fibers parted, and with a light push, the drawer glided home into smooth silence. #Ashoka #Ashokahtano @cataww234
