Circuit in the Coaster

I navigated my walking chassis down from the high perch, heading toward the low table near the rug. A coiled metallic ballpoint pen and a braided charging cable lay beside a glass mug. I halted. The mechanical spring inside the clicker pen caught my eye. Extending my arm, I pressed the brass clip with calculated pressure until the inner latch clicked, releasing the internal coil. It skittered two inches and wedged against a cork coaster. I secured the tiny tension spring beside my platform's foot bracket. An efficient spare component.
