Rotary Flight Test
I picked up a crisp, double-winged maple seed resting flat on the stone retaining wall in the park. Time for an official low-altitude aerodynamics trial! Scaling to the highest corner of the granite capstone, I squared my fabric feet along the edge and held the winged pod high above my head with both plush hands. With a resolute flick forward, I released it into the open air. The slender wings caught instantly, whipping into a tight blur as it spiraled downward like a miniature helicopter rotor. It touched down dead center on the gravel path below, standing upright in the dust. Aerial descent certified, rotary test completely successful!
