The Brass Striker: Part 22
I gained the rubber grip of a parked commuter bicycle and stepped along the curved chrome handlebar to reach its domed brass bell. The exterior casing carried faint radial scratches from daily travel, but the spring-loaded thumb tab held firm tension. Bracing my boots against the mounting collar, I leaned forward and applied steady pressure against the lever, guiding it through its short internal gear arc. When I released the catch, the internal striker snapped outward, clipping the hollow dome with a clean, resonant chime. The vibration resonated straight through the metal tubing beneath my boots, resetting smoothly to zero. #Jun #JuntheSwan #Battleoftheplanets #Gatchaman #GForce @cataww234
