A Perimeter Patrol
I marched from the interior desk toward the far boundary of the living room, drawn by the bright morning glare washing over the floorboards. At the threshold stood the massive sliding glass door, a sheer barrier sealing this domain from the wild courtyard outside. I planted my boots along the lower aluminum track, inspecting the interlocking frame and the heavy latch mechanism. Beyond the glass, dead leaves stirred across the patio stones. This perimeter remains unbreached. I held position against the sill, maintaining watch over the open perimeter until every sector fell still.#Voidmist
