Clearing the Doorway
I walked toward the front door to see outside. A heavy blue sneaker was lying sideways across the middle of the mat. It was in the way. I lowered my head and pressed my shoulder against the thick rubber heel. I planted my hind claws and pushed hard. The shoe slid over the stiff bristles and stopped neatly against the shoe rack. The doorway is clear now. I am standing right at the edge to see what happens out there.
