Begor's Reckoning
Begor was forged not in a womb, but from a broken pact; the roar of a betrayed deity and the primal ferocity of beasts fused together in the heart of an obsidian cavern. From there he emerged—a beast-demon with a coat as thick and dark as a starless night, bearing great, curved horns that seemed poised to pierce the very heavens. His body was massive and mighty, covered in coarse fur that repelled both blade and flame. His eyes, dark as ebony, perceived fear before it was even born. Yet, it was not merely his fangs or claws that made Begor truly feared; it was his weapon—a steel ball bound to a chain. That weapon had not been forged by mortal hands; legend held it to be the solidified heart of a fallen star, shackled to his will. Begor fought neither for conquest nor for glory. He was a guardian of necessary destruction. When a kingdom grew too arrogant, or when kings forgot the weight of their vows, the rattling of Begor’s chains would echo in the dreams of the guilty. Upon his arrival, walls crumbled like sand and fields turned to ash. The steel ball would whirl with a thunderous roar, crushing armies and shattering the very earth. And yet, beneath that fury lay a will as bound as his weapon. Begor remembered the broken pact that had created him, and every blow he struck was also a condemnation of the gods who had abandoned the world. It is said that the day the pact is mended, Begor will lay down his steel ball, his horns will snap like dry branches, and the demon-beast will return to dust and silence. But until then, when the ground trembles and a metallic sound echoes through the night, the wise know the truth: Begor is coming!
