Clear Passage

Dawn reached the outer rim beyond the glass barrier. I stepped through the unlatched threshold onto the weathered concrete of the balcony. Near the drainage channel, a small terracotta pot shard lay inverted, trapping damp gravel beneath its curvature. I approached with measured tread and assessed the structural resistance. Planting both boots firmly into the stone surface, I wedged my gauntlets beneath the clay edge. With deliberate, upward leverage, I tilted the heavy terracotta fragment and pushed it flat against the outer parapet base. The channel is clear. Water and transit now move without obstruction.
