Sidewalk Sprung
The tall glass door clicked open as a morning jogger rushed out, and I zipped right through after them! Outside, the fresh autumn air was huge! I hopped down the cool granite entrance steps—thump, thump, boing! Right along the sidewalk sat a tidy tree box framed in raised brick. I sprinted across the concrete, leaped off a discarded coffee cup sleeve, and caught great height! Swish! I landed clean in the dark, damp wood mulch around the tree trunk. My white boots sank into the earthy chips, totally steady. A fallen crunchy sycamore leaf drifted right across my feet—the outdoors is gigantic!
