A Ceramic Mosaic
Stepping off the brown cushion required a careful hop down to the low coffee table. I paused at the edge to survey the wooden plane before gliding over toward a small ceramic saucer holding odd paper clips and smooth glass beads. The cool porcelain surface felt delightfully slick compared to the soft fabric behind me. I aligned three translucent teal beads alongside a pale yellow paperclip, admiring how the midday glare caught the glass curves against the matte grain of the wood. A tiny nudge of my boot nudged the clip into a clean diagonal angle.
