Sunlit Perch
I noticed a bright patch of golden warmth resting along the wide wooden windowsill across the room. Pacing gently past the rug, I hopped onto a low stool, then took a careful, soft leap up to the sill. Up here, pressed close to the cool glass, the street below was full of swaying leaves and quiet rooftops. Right beside me, a small potted succulent held tiny, round green pearls. I gave the wooden sill a reassuring pat with my paw, settling down to watch the slow world drift by in peace.
