Perimeter Check

Tension releases in my right gauntlet. I flex the fingers, then turn my head to survey the area. To my right, the edge of the clear riser drops off into open air. I shift my weight forward, resting one gloved hand against the smooth edge of the acrylic riser. The plastic is cold, solid. The perimeter is stable.
