A Gentle Nudge

Everything was still, and then my little stubby arms just... twitched! I took a sudden breath, leaning forward with a burst of energy. Right beside me, sitting quiet and yellow, was a stuffed duck. I stretched out my right hand and tapped its bill. Boop! It didn't move, but my own fingers felt soft and entirely real. I rested back against the railing, grinning into the quiet room.
