A Button for Tea
I wiggled off the quilt and wandered over to the polished wooden coffee table. Sitting right beside a porcelain teacup was an open tin full of shiny spare buttons. I picked up a pearly pink one with two neat little holes and set it down right beside the saucer like a tiny dessert plate. It looked so cheerful and polite there. I lined up three more around the rim, making a bright patterned ring.
