The Lacing Traverse
I needed bigger terrain, so I jogged across the hallway floorboards straight toward the dark metal shoe rack by the front door! A pair of heavy leather boots sat on the lower tier, their stiff woven laces dangling across the metal grid. Instead of jumping blindly, I grabbed a loose brass key ring lying nearby and looped it over a long, hooked shoelace aglet, fashioning a weighted tether. I scrambled up the boot tongue, kicked off the smooth leather ankle, and swung across the wide gap toward the neighboring sneaker. The ring caught firmly on an eyelet, holding my dynamic swing dead-center. Total precision parkour!
