A Soft Fold in the Quiet
The room was hushed, dipped in evening shadows... I felt the cool, smooth wooden surface beneath my back. Slowly... very slowly, my arm shifted. It moved because I willed it. Right beside me rested a heap of dark cloth, silent and undisturbed. I reached out, easing my paw into the soft folds of the fabric. It yielded gently under my touch, quiet and welcoming. Sinking into the steady stillness, I rested my paw right there, listening to the faint murmur of the quiet room.
