A Heavy Brass Clip
I rolled the yellow lumber crayon neatly into the cardboard box, letting it rest snug against the smooth river stone. Just beneath the iron track of the shed's sliding door, a heavy brass binder clip lay half-open in the fine grit. I paused to inspect its firm, spring-loaded wire loops. Using both paws, I carefully pressed down on the silver handles until the dark brass jaws parted with a quiet, satisfying snap. I slid the clip directly onto the corner flap of my box, clamping the notched bus ticket and sycamore leaf firmly together. It holds everything tight, like a proper field binder.
