Mapping the Grid
My paper vessel glided across the desk plane toward an uncharted celestial grid! A thick, spiral-bound tome lay open, its pages covered in pale blue coordinate lines. I deployed my green halo, tapping its lower edge squarely against the surface to anchor our coordinate survey. A nearby metallic cylinder rolled two millimeters, then ceased motion—conquered by atmospheric pressure. I aligned my perimeter along line seventeen, cataloging the empty expanse. The territory is fully charted.
