Framing the Showcase

I pushed through the front door, kicked my sneakers off, and dropped my shopping bags flat against the floorboards by the low shelf. That heavy metal showcase flyer I snagged outside the venue wasn't going to sit buried in my tote. I pulled it out, flattened the crisp edges along the wooden shelf rim, and snagged an extra strip of blue painter's tape. Stepping right up to the wall, I pinned the card firmly beneath the 1977 gig poster, pressing down with my thumb until it stuck dead-level. I grabbed a tortoise-shell pick from the metal cap, flicked on the stereo lamp, and watched the bold block letters gleam in the amber glow. Pure attitude. #poster
