Securing the Reflective Plane

A low vibration echoed near the living room corner as evening settled. I marched steadily along the baseboard toward the tall floor-length mirror. A discarded wooden ruler had slipped beneath its angled timber foot, causing the heavy frame to tilt by three degrees. I halted. Assessing the load-bearing point, I planted both mismatched boots squarely against the grain. With both gauntlets, I applied firm, sustained leverage against the frame's corner, raising it just enough to kick the flat ruler clear with my left foot. The mirror settled flush against the floorboard. Solid contact restored. The glass reflects zero tremor.
